All regular full-time or part-time employees, 0.50 FTE and above, are eligible for tuition remission to include both tuition and general fees for PCC classes, excluding EDUKAN and any classes taken from another institution of higher learning.

Spouses and dependent children, as defined by IRS regulation, of regular full-time or part-time employees, 0.50 FTE and above, are eligible for tuition remission to include both tuition and general fees for both PCC online and on-campus classes, excluding EDUKAN.

All positions funded by outside sources qualify for tuition remission to include both tuition and general fees for both PCC online and on-campus classes, excluding EDUKAN.

Employees and/or their spouses or dependent children are not eligible for tuition remission for any term in which classes begin after the employee's final day of regular employment status.

The employee, spouse and/or dependent children will be responsible for any and all expenses beyond the tuition remission (e.g. special fees related to courses, books, etc.).

The student, whether employee, their spouse or dependent children shall abide by all the rules and regulations of the College.

Tuition remission must be approved by employee's supervisor and Vice President no later than up to the projected class start date. 

Regular full-time employees may be granted release time during his/her normal working hours in order to enroll in one on-campus Pratt Community College course which will advance the employee professionally or personally, providing that the employee's supervisor and Vice President has given his/her approval. 

The employee may enroll in multiple Pratt Community College online courses and understands no release time will be granted. 

Supervisors are encouraged to accommodate employees in their efforts without sacrificing the department's efficiency.  Therefore, the supervisor may request that the employee adjust their work schedule to assure that the department's work is completed. If such an adjustment is necessary, compensatory time for hours worked above and beyond the normal work week of 40 hours (not including release time) will be granted.
