The college’s policy is to provide college owned or leased vehicles for the purpose of assisting college personnel in the performance of their official functions. Incidental use of the college vehicles by non-college users may be approved by the administration when it is judged to be in the college's best interest. Non-college users will be charged for the use of any college vehicle at a rate sufficient to cover all operating costs plus replacement costs based on the purchase cost of the vehicle prorated over the estimated life of the vehicle. Requests for the use of college vehicles are subject to the parties' willingness to be governed by college rules and regulations with the understanding that the college's functions are of first priority.
No vehicle shall be operated within twelve (12) hours of the time of consumption of any beverage containing alcohol.
No smoking or tobacco products are to be used in college vehicles.
The individual who signs for the college or an organization in any lease/rental agreement is responsible for (1) all damage which is not covered by insurance and (2) for replacing damaged or lost college equipment inside the vehicle. The replacement must be equal to or better than college equipment.
