PCC Honors Scoreboard Sponsors at New Sports Complex

The skies were clear with a nice breeze overhead as Pratt Community College took on Central Community College during an afternoon of intense soccer matches.

PCC took the pre-game opportunity to thank Pratt businesses for sponsoring the new scoreboard at the brand-new track and field and soccer complex.

Maydew-Thibault Optometry and Eck Services were announced as the scoreboard sponsors on the field and presented with soccer balls signed by PCC’s student athletes in the soccer program.

Athletic Director Tim Swartzendruber is thankful for the support that made the scoreboard possible.

“When we were in the final stages of planning the track and soccer complex, a scoreboard was not part of the plan due to budget constraints. I can’t say enough about how thankful we are that Maydew-Thibault Optometry and Eck Services were willing to contribute so we could have a first-class scoreboard as part of this facility.”

Travis Eck, owner of Eck Services sees the potential of the new venue.

“I think the Pratt sports complex is a good asset that the city of Pratt has and we’re glad to have a chance to be a part of it. It’s great.”

Seth Thibault of Maydew-Thibault Optometry is also on board.

“We just appreciate being able to partner with the college to make this facility be complete, it’s really a neat addition to our community, and we’re happy to be a part of it.”

Swartzendruber looks forward to putting the new scoreboard to work.

“The scoreboard is wireless and digital and can be used for multiple sports; which makes it great for this venue. Again, we are thankful for the support of these businesses and look forward to many years of use from this scoreboard.”

The PCC Women’s Soccer team went on to win their match against Central CC in overtime, and the Men’s Soccer team also won 2-0.
