1. Employees (.50 FTE and above) shall be entitled to time off with pay for the following fixed holidays or any additional designated holiday as determined by the Administration with approval of the Board of Trustees.
    1. Martin Luther King Day
    2. Good Friday
    3. Memorial Day
    4. Independence Day
    5. Labor Day
    6. Thanksgiving Day and Friday following
    7. December 24 through January 1
  2. When a holiday falls on Saturday, the preceding Friday shall be considered a nonworking or legal holiday.
  3. When a holiday falls on Sunday, the following Monday shall be considered a nonworking or legal holiday.
  4. If the day of the holiday occurs on an employee's scheduled weekend to work, an additional day(s) off with pay will be granted.
  5. If an employee is required by his/her supervisor to work on a designated holiday(s), an additional day(s) off with pay will be granted.
  6. If an additional day(s) off with pay cannot be given because of departmental scheduling difficulties, the employee will receive his/her regular pay plus time and one-half pay for hours worked on the holiday.
  7. Holidays will not be paid if an individual is on leave without pay due to disciplinary action, exhausted leave time or Family Medical Leave.
