Students serving in the National Guard or Reserves who are called to active duty during an academic term are entitled to receive a full refund of tuition and fees if they withdraw or drop all classes. Students who are directed to report for active duty during an academic term shall also be entitled to receive a full refund of tuition and fees. All refunds may be contingent upon presentation of official documentation. Room and board charges shall be prorated to the extent that services have been provided. Students who volunteer for military service may be subject to the institution’s non-military refund policy.
Full college tuition shall be granted to spouses and dependents of Kansas residents killed in the line of duty.
In-state tuition shall be given to military family members of military personnel who are stationed in Kansas and whose status might change due to new, out-of-state assignments.
