Face Covering Policy Change Effective May 24, 2021

Effective May 24 through August 1st, 2021 face coverings are recommended, not required, to be worn throughout campus and in college vehicles unless physical/social distancing cannot be maintained. Campus facility capacities, other than classrooms, will be capped at 40% during the summer or through August 1. Classrooms will continue to maintain six-feet distancing and spaces arranged accordingly.

PCC Summer Hours 2021

Summer 2021 hours for campus offices at Pratt Community College have been designated as follows: 
 
Summer hours begin Monday, May 24, 2021 and will extend through Friday, July 30, 2021.
 
Operating hours are: 

7:45 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.  Monday through Thursday
8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Fridays 

Please plan accordingly for the short business day on Fridays.

PCC and Cowley College Dissolve Nursing Partnership

PCC Nursing programs will no longer be offered at the Winfield, KS campus location in partnership with Cowley College. The faculty, staff and incoming students have been notified.

PCC Honors Scoreboard Sponsors at New Sports Complex

The skies were clear with a nice breeze overhead as Pratt Community College took on Central Community College during an afternoon of intense soccer matches.

PCC took the pre-game opportunity to thank Pratt businesses for sponsoring the new scoreboard at the brand-new track and field and soccer complex.

Maydew-Thibault Optometry and Eck Services were announced as the scoreboard sponsors on the field and presented with soccer balls signed by PCC’s student athletes in the soccer program.

Rocky Robinson Named PHEA Teacher of the Year

An outstanding instructor is recognized by the Pratt Higher Education Association during Commencement every year.

The VP of Instruction Monette Depew announced Rocky Robinson as the winner of the PHEA Teacher of the Year, just before many of his students officially graduated from his Wildlife Outfitting and Operations program.

PCC Faculty Put on Science Show for Skyline 5th Graders
May 17, 2021

PCC Physical Science instructor Paul Primrose created a science show when his oldest was in fifth grade. He was teaching at Baylor University in West, Texas at the time.

The grand finale at the show, inspired by Primrose’s wife, was the creation of dry-ice ice cream and was met with hefty approval from this particular age group.

Primose was inspired to do another Science Show recently, with the help of fellow science faculty and students.
