The KJCCC developed guidelines and protocols for athletics this spring. I am highlighting items I felt might be of interest. .
• Each school will do daily COVID screenings
• Schools will send weekly updates of COVID results to Commissioner
• There will be mandatory game day screening which includes screening for the school before they depart for a contest and when they arrive at their destination. This screening must take place within six hours of the contest.

Pratt Community College hosted the 2020 Legislative Luncheon in a socially-distanced fashion on campus.
The Legislative Luncheon is held annually in December with PCC hosting area legislators, both Senators and Representatives, and other community officials. Attendees included the PCC Board of Trustees, the college administrative team, USD 382 Superintendent Tony Helfrich, members of the USD 382 Board, and USD 438 Superintendent Becca Flowers. When representatives from Fletcher Community Technical College in Houma, Louisiana began looking for guidance on starting a brand new Agricultural Power Technology program, the Ag Power program at Pratt Community college ranked at the top of their list. So Mark Arceneaux, head of the Agriculture Technology Department, and instructor Cole Sawyer made their way to Pratt Community College for a visit. PCC Instructor Ralph Williams was happy to show them around. “They are starting an Ag Diesel training program from scratch…“My ag teachers and other teachers are really committed to their students. Barrett Smith reached out to find me another scholarship that he knew I might qualify for. The teachers care about their students and it makes us work harder in and out of the classroom. I’m really glad I chose Pratt.”
I have truly enjoyed my time at PCC and know if will benefit me at a four year school. All my teachers are helpful and I appreciate everything the school has done for me.
