GOVERNANCE
1. The Board of Trustees will govern Pratt Community College in accordance with the Constitution and Laws of the State of Kansas. The Board will always act in the best interests of the College and the community as a whole. The Board is committed to excellence. Educational programs and other services of the College shall be of high quality and available to all people.
2. The Board of Trustees represents the public in determining and demanding appropriate organizational performance. To distinguish the Board’s unique position from the jobs of the College’s administration, the Board will concentrate its efforts on the following responsibilities:
a. Serving as the link between the College and the public.
b. Monitoring institutional performance and the President’s performance.
c. Promoting a positive image for the College.
d. Approving by-laws for its own internal governance that are consistent with Kansas statutes and administrative regulations.
