Rotary Scholarship Application

The Rotary Club of Kansas has announced the generous scholarship opportunity in collaboration with Pratt Community College, aimed at supporting students in furthering their education. The scholarship, totaling $1,000, will be awarded in two installments of $500 each for the fall and spring semesters, contingent upon meeting GPA requirements.

In order to qualify for the scholarship, applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 during the fall semester and be in good academic standing. Additionally, enrollment as a full-time student at Pratt Community College, with a course load of 12 credit hours per semester, is mandatory. The scholarship funds will be directly paid to the college to cover tuition, fees, housing, or books. It is important to note that the scholarship is non-renewable beyond two semesters and is non-transferable.

Applicants must be high school graduates or possess the equivalent, such as a GED. To apply for the scholarship, interested individuals are required to submit the application, plus a one-page double-spaced essay, and two reference letters by August 15.

Applications can be sent either by mail to Pratt Rotary Club Scholarship Committee, c/o Lisa Perez-Miller, at 545 Sunrise Avenue, Pratt, KS 67124, or electronically to lisaperezmiller@gmail.com.

The essay should address why the applicant deserves the scholarship, details about their educational and career aspirations, and how the scholarship will assist in achieving their goals.

The two reference letters must be from non-relatives explaining why you merit the scholarship.

The Rotary Scholarship Committee will carefully review all applications and notify the successful candidate.
