Pratt Community College is delighted to announce the appointment of Suzan Patton as a new member of our Board of Trustees on November 20, 2023. Individually and as part of the entire board, together they will support the mission of the College to maximize student learning, individual and workforce development, high-quality instruction and service, and community enrichment.
Mrs. Patton was a career English teacher and educator. She spent 12 years at Pratt High School; 8 of which as the district's Superintendent. Patton retired from Pratt High School in 2020. Mrs. Patton earned her associate's degree at Pratt Community College, her bachelor's degree at Wichita State University, and Fort Hays State University to complete her master's degree.
As a new board member, Patton shared her goals, "Wanting to work together to help continue the success of PCC. To be a person who can listen to the people in the community and the College and to continue to be an advocate for education."
Suzan is an active member of the Pratt community and is involved in the Rotary club, previously serving as the president. She is active in her church and a director of a non-profit group, providing leadership to Superintendents of Districts in Kansas and Missouri.
We are excited about Suzan's passion for education and participation on our Board of Trustees. Welcome, Trustee Patton!
