Kansas Art Guild
The Friends Community Art Guild was formed in 1977 with only eight people who met at Friends University in Wichita. The name was later changed to Kansas Art Guild as interest and membership grew. Now with a membership of over 65 from all over Kansas, the guild meets monthly at Mark Arts at 13th and Rock Road in Wichita. Membership is open to all artists, beginner to professional, with the express purpose of promoting and encouraging the visual arts and artists. Throughout the year the guild sponsors exhibits for interested members. Currently the guild has a show that will hang until October 18 at Pratt Community College featuring 23 members. For more information and to see more of the members' art, check the website: www.Kansasartguild.com .
The art gallery is open during business hours from 9 am to 5 pm or by arrangement.
