Pratt Community College (Pratt CC) is pleased to announce that Barton Community College (BCC) will offer a Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) curriculum on the Pratt campus beginning Fall 2023.
The Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN) granted the proposal at their quarterly meeting in March 2023.
This offering is in addition to the successful facilitation of the Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) program on the Pratt CC campus that began Fall 2022.
Approximately fifteen students are already secured to begin LPN classes in Fall 2023 without full recruiting efforts, speaking to the quality of BCC’s healthcare training, the facilities at Pratt CC and market demands.
Pratt CC President Dr. Michael Calvert is proud to help meet the need.

Barton Community College Vice-President of Instruction Elaine Simmons supports the furthering of the partnership between PCC and BCC.

We accepted the follow-up request from PCC’s leadership to also add our Licensed Practical Nursing to the Pratt location. Support from college officials, community members and the healthcare industry strengthen our desire to ensure nursing education is available to support workforce needs for south central Kansas.”
PCC is honored to continue moving forward in partnership with Barton Community College to help meet the need for qualified healthcare professionals in Kansas.
