2024 Discounted Rates for Pratt Area HS

 

Pratt Community College is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for local high school students and Pratt County residents to jump-start their college education at an unbeatable price. Beginning this fall, students from Pratt and Skyline High Schools, as well as other high school-aged residents of Pratt County, can earn college credits for as low as $39 per credit hour. This fee includes both tuition and general fees, making higher education more accessible than ever. The courses offered will cater to diverse learning preferences, featuring face-to-face classes on campus, online courses through Pratt, and concurrent enrollment opportunities directly at participating high schools. This flexibility allows students to accelerate their education while balancing their high school commitments. This new campaign highlights Pratt Community College’s commitment to providing practical and career-focused education, helping students prepare for the workforce without the burden of financial costs. With registration for Fall 2024 courses now open, students are encouraged to take action and secure their spots in these valuable programs.

 

We also have exciting news for high school students in the Pratt Community College (PCC) service area! Included in this new campaign is making it easier for local students to access higher education at an affordable price. Starting now, students attending Attica, Chaparral, Cunningham, Kingman, Kiowa County, Macksville, Medicine Lodge, Norwich, South Barber, and Stafford high schools can enroll in select college courses for just $49 per credit hour. This rate includes both tuition and general fees, presenting an incredible opportunity for students eager to expand their academic horizons. The discounted courses are available either online through Pratt Online or concurrently offered at their high schools, making it convenient for students to take advantage of this unique opportunity. A variety of engaging courses are included in the $49 rate, such as Intro to Sociology, General Psychology, English Composition I and II, Public Speaking, Interpersonal Communications, Technology for Teachers, American History to 1865, Art Appreciation, College Algebra, Anatomy & Physiology, General Biology, Intro to Geology, and Intro to Word Processing and Microcomputer Office Apps.

In addition to these courses, students will still have access to Career Tech Education classes tuition and fee free through the Excel in CTE Initiative provided by the State of Kansas. However, it's important to note that EduKan courses are not part of this discounted campaign. All other courses offered at PCC will be charged at the standard tuition and fees rate for college start classes. This initiative reflects PCC's commitment to providing accessible education to high school students, helping to pave the way for their future academic and career success.
