Graduation Procedures

Meet with Advisor

Prior to your final semester of enrollment, you should meet with your advisor to determine if you are ready for graduation and have a degree check completed.

Apply for Graduation

Fill out an Application for Graduation form by the deadlines listed below. Click here to complete the application. A Graduation Fair will be held in the Commons in the first week of March to assist any students in completing the Application for graduation. Emails will be sent when the date and time is confirmed.

Deadlines for Applications: Late applications are accepted. However, late applicants may not be included in Pratt Community College publications regarding graduation (including the printed commencement program) or have a cap and gown available to be able to walk at the commencement ceremony.

  • Spring (May completion) – March 31
  • Summer (July completion) – July 15
  • Fall (December completion) – November 1

Official Transcripts (if needed)

If you need classes transferred from other institutions, please have official transcripts sent by the institution to the Registrar’s Office immediately. Most institutions require electronic orders to send transcripts to other schools.

Commencement in May

Pratt Community College has one commencement per year, held at the end of the spring semester in May.

About the Ceremony

Class of 2026 Commencement Ceremony – Friday May 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM

The Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2026 will be held on Friday May 15, 2026 at 2:00 PM. The ceremony will be held in the Dennis Lesh Sports Arena on the main campus in Pratt, KS; 348 NE SR 61 PRATT, KS 67124.

Information about changes to Commencement activities or schedules will be announced on the website (prattcc.edu), on PCC’s Facebook and Instagram pages and a message will be sent to all graduates via text and email through FinalsiteConnect.

Special Accommodations

Anyone needing special accommodations for graduation should contact the Registrar’s office at 620-450-2221. Seats have been reserved on the floor for individuals with disabilities.

Cap and Gown Information

Cap and gowns are at no cost to students at PCC. Cap and gown pick up will be held in the Commons on Tuesday May 12th and Wednesday May 13th from 1-4pm.

Graduation Honors

Summa Cum Laude – With Highest Academic Distinction (GPA 3.90-4.0) – Noted on Graduates with a Royal Blue and Gold Cords
Magna Cum Laude – With Great Academic Distinction (GPA 3.75-3.89) – Noted on Graduates with a Royal Blue Cord
Cum Laude – With Academic Distinction (GPA 3.5-3.74) – Noted on graduated with a Gold Cord.
