Accreditation
The Pratt Community College Accounting and Business Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Program.
Program Learning Outcomes for AS Degrees:
- Students in the required computer class will demonstrate 80% of the computer competencies.
- Associate of Science business graduates will successfully transfer to a four-year college or university.
- Business graduates will score at or above the standard deviation of the CAAP test for Reading, Writing, Math, and Critical Thinking.
- Students will be able to successfully complete an Accounting Cycle.
- Students will successfully pass the competencies for Macroeconomics and Microeconomics.
Program Learning Outcomes for AGS Degree:
- Students in the required computer class will demonstrate 80% of the computer competencies.
- Business graduates will score at or above the standard deviation of the ETS test for Reading, Writing, Math, and Critical Thinking.
- Students will be able to successfully complete an Accounting Cycle.
- Students will demonstrate comprehension of the basic principles of economics.
- Students will successfully complete a marketing plan project.
- Students will successfully complete a business plan project.
Program Learning Outcomes for AAS Degree:
- Students in the required computer class will demonstrate 80% of the computer competencies.
- Students completing an Associate of Applied Science degree desiring to enter the world of work will find employment in their field.
- Students who attain employment directly after graduation will be successful at their job.
- Students will score at or above the industry benchmark levels of the Work Keys tests for Applied Math, Listening, Reading for Information, and Writing.
- Students will be able to successfully complete an Accounting Cycle.
- Students will successfully pass the competencies for Macroeconomics or Microeconomics.
- Students will successfully complete a marketing plan project.
