Performing Arts Showcase set for Sept. 22

The Pratt Community College Performing Arts Department will host the annual Department  Showcase Sunday, Sept. 22 at 2:30 p.m. in Carpenter Auditorium. The concert will feature a variety of solo performances and Encore’s first performance of the year. This is a great opportunity for the community to meet the new Encore members and learn more about the department plans for the year. Admission for the concert is $5 and doors will open at 2 p.m.
 

PCC Theater Kids Camp to present Alice in Wonderland JR.

Travel down the rabbit hole and join Alice, one of literature’s most beloved heroines, in her madcap adventures in this year’s summer music theatre camp production, Alice in Wonderland JR. Featuring updated songs from Disney’s thrilling animated motion picture, Disney’s Alice in Wonderland JR. is a fast-paced take on the classic tale.

The PCC performing arts department will host 125 area students, ages 4-11 for the production, including camp alumni, sixth grade and up, as camp counselors and production techs.

Performing Arts students rewarded with annual end of year trip

Students, instructors, and sponsors of the Pratt Community College Performing Arts department packed up their bags, loaded up the vans, and departed for their annual end of the school year trip to Tennessee and surrounding areas. This year marked the seventh year the department has offered this entertaining and fun week filled with what they love most – music and performing.

A new musical comedy, The Addams Family, comes to Carpenter Auditorium

The Pratt Community College Performing Arts department presents their Spring musical, The Addams Family, to debut March 8-10 in Carpenter Auditorium.

A Night on Broadway set for Oct. 12-14

Pratt Community College Performing Arts department will be presenting ‘A Night on Broadway’ October 12-14.

The show is the department’s annual musical Review show, which features music more than a dozen Broadway classics and modern shows. This years show will feature a variety of broadway tunes from Annie Get Your Gun to Lion King to Dear Evan Hansen It will feature solos, duets, and ensembles. There will also be children’s numbers from the PCC Kids’ Choir.

PCC Performing Arts Presents: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

With "a crash of drums, a flash of light," Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the internationally acclaimed musical and dance extravaganza explodes on the Pratt Community College Carpenter Auditorium stage this March 9-11.

PCC’s Performing Arts students and college staff along with more than 80 community members make up this colorful cast directed by Misty Beck, Speech Communications/Drama and Theatre Instructor.

Performing arts presents, "Valentine's Dinner and Show" concert

To celebrate the weekend of love, the Pratt Community College musical group Encore! will be holding a special Valentine’s Dinner and Show in honor of Valentine's Day.

The dinner and show will be Sunday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. in the PCC Commons. Enjoy dinner and dessert while being serenaded by Encore! featuring love songs from a variety of genres including solos, duets and ensembles.

Tickets for Dinner and the Show are $15 for adults and children over 5. Reservations can be made with Misty Beck, mistyb@prattcc.edu

2018 Winterfest Royalty Court announced

The first annual Winterfest at Pratt Community College marls a significant year and time in the history of the institution. As PCC celebrates their 80 year anniversary students, staff and community members are also celebrating the spirit and pride of being a part of this institution.

This week PCC celebrates by hosting a multitude of events including a talent show, bon fire pep rally, Beaver wrestling, a formal dance and the first ever Winterfest Royalty King and Queen.

Performing arts presents, "A Christmas to Remember" Dec. 8-10

Pratt Community College’s Performing Arts department will have the annual Christmas show to help kick off the season on Dec. 8-10.

‘A Christmas to Remember,’ will feature two extraordinary acts encompassing all of your favorite holiday tunes and the true meaning of Christmas.

The show will feature solos, duets, the ensemble and full community choir. There will also be children’s numbers.

“It promises to be a fun show with the classic favorites and also some new music,” said Misty Beck, show director.
