Kansas Promise Scholarship Opportunities

Electrical Power Technology program students from Kansas are eligible for the Kansas Board of Regents Promise Act Scholarship. This scholarship is a last dollar scholarship, which means that a student may receive a scholarship in the amount of aggregate tuition, required fees, books and materials minus all other financial aid (including grants and scholarships) that does not require repayment.

Requirements for Remote Learning

Should students wish or need to work remotely in INT courses, the following computer requirements are necessary:
Course requirements;

  •     Windows 10 version 1703 or higher: Home, Professional, Education, and Enterprise (LTSC and S are not supported)
  •     1.8 GHz or faster processor. Quad-core or better recommended
  •     8 GB of RAM
  •     Hard disk space: Minimum of 800MB up to 210 GB of available space
  •     Visual Studio 2019, ARM processors are not supported
  •     Video card that supports a minimum display resolution of 720p (1280 by 720); Visual Studio will work best at a resolution of WXGA (1366 by 768) or higher
  •     Oracle Virtual Box or Hyper-V is needed to run additional operating systems

Game Theory requirements;      

  •     Windows 10 64-bit
  •     Quad-core Intel or AMD, 2.5 GHz or faster       
  •     16 GB RAM    
  •     DirectX 11 or DirectX 12 compatible graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or better)
     

eSports

eSports is a form of competitive sports played online against people around the world. Multiple games such as League of Legends and Hearthstone are played, allowing all  types of people to compete.
