PCC Student Receives Track Scholarship at MSU

Recent Pratt Community College (PCC) graduate, Keshun Byrd, is spending his summer training and preparing for his transition to Mississippi State University (MSU). Byrd will be a member of the track & field program competing in the triple jump.  

“Training started slow as I pulled my hamstring, but I am back in business,” said Byrd. “Tuesdays and Thursdays, I have weights at 7:00 am and Monday through Friday I am on the track.” 

PCC WOO Student receives Kansas Farm Bureau Scholarship

Pratt Community College (PCC) Wildlife Outfitting and Operations (WOO) student, Caleb Hinck, has been awarded a Kansas Farm Bureau's (KFB) Foundation for Agriculture scholarship. College students that are attending a Kansas college with a Kansas Farm Bureau Collegiate Chapter and are a collegiate chapter member studying in a field that benefits agriculture and rural Kansas are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

"This scholarship helps out a lot, I won't have to go get a second job to pay for college," said Hinck. "It helps out a lot more."

PCC Sophomore Receives Kappa Beta Delta Scholarship

Pratt Community College (PCC) sophomore, Isaac Root, has been awarded a Kappa Beta Delta scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic school year. The purpose of Kappa Beta Delta is to encourage and recognize scholarship and accomplishment among students of business pursuing associate degrees. To encourage and promote personal and professional improvement and a life distinguished by honorable service to humankind.

ITC Great Plains awards EPT students with scholarships

Chantz Brungardt and Keaton Augustine, two students currently in the Electrical Power Technology program at Pratt Community College, were awarded with scholarships by ITC Great Plains, LLC on May 1. The students were recognized for their hard work in the program and received the scholarships in front of their peers and instructors.

Brett Leopold, President for ITC Great Plains, and Kim Goodnight, Regional Manager for Community Affairs, presented the scholarships to the students. This is the seventh year the company has provided scholarships to the EPT students at PCC.
