Pratt Community College to Host Roam the Dome, PCC Car Show, and 46th Annual Academic Olympics on February 23, 2026

Pratt Community College is preparing to welcome more than 540 students from 20 Kansas high schools on Monday, February 23, for the 46th Annual Academic Olympics, held alongside the College’s second annual Roam the Dome open house and the PCC Car Show. The combined events will bring hundreds of students and educators to campus for an engaging day showcasing academic excellence, student services, and campus life.

 

A long-standing PCC tradition, the Academic Olympics invites students to showcase their knowledge across a wide range of subjects, including mathematics, science, social studies, art, English, agriculture, and more. The event celebrates academic achievement while giving participants a firsthand look at college-level expectations and opportunities.

 

Taking place during the morning from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Roam the Dome transforms the Dennis Lesh Sports Arena into an open house experience. Students can connect directly with faculty and staff, explore displays of academic and technical programs, participate in hands-on activities, and gather information about scholarships, athletics, student organizations, and support services. The event is designed to help prospective students explore their interests and envision their future at Pratt Community College.

 

Adding to the excitement, the PCC Car Show will highlight student talent and community involvement, featuring a variety of vehicles on display. The car show offers another opportunity for visitors to experience the energy of campus and see firsthand the passion and skill of those involved.

 

By bringing together academic competition, an engaging campus open house, and a community-focused car show, Pratt Community College provides students not only with a competitive academic experience but also with a chance to become more familiar with the campus community and the educational opportunities available to them.
