Pratt Community College Students Gain Hands-On Experience at Ringneck Haven
Published on: March 10, 2026
Pratt Community College students in the Upland Game and Turkey Management course recently took learning beyond the classroom with a visit to Ringneck Haven in Pretty Prairie.
The field experience gave students the opportunity to see course concepts applied in a real-world setting while gaining valuable industry insight. As part of the program, students learn about game bird production, connect with local outfitters, and participate in field days on a controlled shooting area.
The visit to Ringneck Haven allowed students to further explore the practical side of upland game and turkey management while experiencing firsthand the types of environments and operations they may encounter in the field. Opportunities like this are an important part of the hands-on learning experience at Pratt Community College and help students build both knowledge and connections within the industry.
Pratt Community College is proud to provide students with meaningful, career-focused learning experiences that extend beyond the traditional classroom and prepare them for success in the field.
