Pratt Community College Student Selected for Statewide Collegiate Fellows Program

Pratt Community College is proud to announce that student Garrett Lanning has been selected as a member of the 2026–27 Collegiate Fellows cohort. This year, eight students from five Kansas colleges and universities were selected for the cohort. The Collegiate Fellows program honors student leaders who show dedication to personal growth, leadership, and community service.

“Garrett is a motivated, goal-oriented student who is outgoing and doesn’t meet a stranger. I enjoy having him in class—he asks unique questions, is a thoughtful learner, and doesn’t settle for average answers,” said Lori Montgomery, PCC Agriculture Faculty. Garrett was selected from a competitive pool of applicants and will participate in the program during the next academic year. As a Collegiate Fellow, he will participate in leadership training, work with students from across Kansas, and continue building the skills to make a difference in his community and beyond.

“The Collegiate Fellows program is a great opportunity for Garrett to learn more about policy and advocacy,” said Jackie Mundt, PCC Collegiate Farm Bureau Advisor. “He has already proven himself to be smart and articulate as a runner-up at the state Collegiate Discussion Meet. I’m excited to see him grow his network and leadership skills through this experience.”

Pratt Community College is happy to support Garrett as he represents the college at the state level and looks forward to seeing his continued growth and success.
