PCC Debuts Heartwarming Spring Musical “Honk!” Featuring Local Talent

The Pratt Community College Performing Arts Department will bring the beloved musical Honk! to the stage this month, offering three performances in Carpenter Auditorium on March 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Sunday matinee on March 29 at 2:30 p.m. Admission for all showtimes is five dollars.

Honk! is a vibrant and heartfelt retelling of the classic “Ugly Duckling” story, celebrating themes of acceptance, belonging, and unconditional love. This year’s cast features a blend of Pratt Community College students and talented performers from the surrounding area, creating a community-focused production that highlights both campus and local artistry.

Audiences can expect lively musical numbers, engaging storytelling, and moments that range from humorous to deeply touching. The production follows Ida’s emotional journey as she searches for her missing “duckling,” bringing both warmth and depth to the stage.

“This is definitely not a show you want to miss! We can’t wait to share this experience with our audiences.” – Misty Beck, Director

This year’s musical also welcomes choreographer Alyssa Green, who joins the Performing Arts team for the spring semester. Green’s experience and creative approach have brought a fresh and dynamic element to the overall production.
