PCC to host Inaugural High School eSports Tournament

06 March 2019

High school students interested in eSports are invited to join the Pratt Community College eSports team in an inaugural High School eSports Tournament event on Saturday, Apr. 6. The tournament will begin in Carpenter Auditorium at 9:00 A.M. Teams of six will battle in the PC game, Overwatch, until one team remains as the sole victor.

The event is to promote the growing field of eSports and provide a competitive event for high school students interested in the gaming community. It also provides students an opportunity to meet the current PCC eSports team and coach, Chris Nelson, to learn more about scholarship opportunities and what it takes to participate on a collegiate team.

The tournament is free to all interested high school students. Those who would like to participate can sign up at www.battlefy.com/pcc-esports or contact Nelson at chrisn@prattcc.edu.
