PCC Performing Arts Presents A Christmas to Remember

The Pratt Community College Performing Arts Department will be rounding out the close of the Fall 2021 semester with a special performance.

Students, employees and members of the community are invited to enjoy “A Christmas to Remember” on December 3 and 4 at 7:30pm, and December 5 at 2:30pm.

Tickets for admission can be purchased at the door in Carpenter Auditorium for only five dollars!

PCC Faculty Bring Hands-On Science Show to Skyline Middle School

“I loved the woosh!”, said one Skyline student.

Melissa Jacobs’ sixth grade science class at Skyline Middle School was thrilled to observe Pratt Community College science instructors scrambling around the stage at their school in their crazy hair, showing the wonders of science just before Halloween.

This woosh, in particular, happened when ethanol vapor combusted inside a large plastic jug and rushed out.

Another favorite moment from the Science Show: elephant toothpaste. Students reacted when the formula quickly shot into the cold Kansas wind.

PCC Announces 2021 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees

Pratt Community College Athletics had the honor of inducting nine former Tennis athletes into the PCC Hall of Fame on October 9, 2021. Those inducted were the 1959 & 1961 NJCAA Tennis National Champions and the 1985-87 All-Region Player.

Great Western Dining catered a meal and a ceremony was held on campus for the inductees and their families.

PCC’s Tennis coach Jeret Johnson was also in attendance as Athletic Director Tim Swartzendruber presented plaques to the inductees.

KBOR Film Crew Visits EPT Program

A Cox Media crew was on  the Pratt Community College campus filming on behalf of the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) to showcase energy-related technical training and careers. 

PCC's Electrical Power Technology (EPT) program students were training on the "pole farm" with program Director Dave Campbell and instructor Jeff Hoffman.

EPT Students were in a regular afternoon lab session gearing up in safety equipment, climbing utility poles, training on the utility truck and practicing skills in managing power pole components.

Mel Hambelton Ford Visits Kingman Automotive Facility

Pratt Community College prides itself on being able to apply real-world insights and training when preparing students for the workforce.

It is a mutual benefit for students and businesses when they are brought together on campus through our technical programs. PCC Hosts College Planning Conference
October 12, 2021

Pratt Community College hosted the College Planning Conference on campus at Dennis Lesh Sports Arena.

High school students had the opportunity to meet with numerous colleges and universities to start planning for a college career.

PCC will also host Tech Day on November 10. Students can visit the Pratt Community College campus and meet with faculty from our outstanding Technical Programs. Register for Tech Day today!
