PCC volleyball traveled to Hutchinson Community College on Oct. 22 to face the Blue Dragons. PCC got down early in set one but was able to make a run to get back into the game. However, they were unable to finish the set. PCC lost set one 18-25.

Set two was quite a thriller, and PCC and Hutch traded point for point until the 22-22 mark when Hutch’s aggressive serving took a toll on Pratt. Pratt dropped the set 22-25.

Set three was all Hutchinson. Pratt attempted to make a late run after getting down ten points late into the set, but were unable to be consistent. Hutchinson took the set, 13-25 and the match 0-3.

Offensively PCC reported no single player with double figures. Jessica Sanders led Pratt with nine kills, Amber Culwell added eight and McKenzie Turner and Mariana Silva each added five. Defensively PCC was led by Jocelyn Cochran with 17 digs, Kaci Copeland with 14 and Marina Hansen with nine.

Pratt returns home for their last two matches of the regular season. Tuesday, Oct. 28 Pratt hosts Seward for their annual Dig Pink match and Thursday, Oct. 30 Pratt hosts Garden City to celebrate Sophomore Night. Both matches begin at 6:30 p.m. in Dennis Lesh Sports Arena.
