PCC Hires Carroll to Continue Wrestling Success

It will be a smooth coaching transition for the PCC Wrestling Team as PCC has selected Assistant Coach Josh Carroll to lead the squad in 2010-11. Well respected by athletes and colleagues alike, Coach Carroll will assume head coaching duties immediately.

Baseball Sweeps Brown Mackie

The Pratt Beavers swept a doubleheader with Brown Mackie College on Sunday at Stanion Field.  In the first game the score was tied 3-3 after three innings. 
 

Baseball Drops Doubleheader with Tonkawa

The Beaver Baseball team dropped a doubleheader to NOC-Tonkawa at Stanion Field on Saturday.  The Beavers dropped the first game 9-4 and the second game 7-5.

Education

I graduated from Southwestern College in Winfield in 1999 with a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies. In 2004 I graduated from Pratt Community College with an Associate's Degree in Nursing. I am currently working toward my Master's Degree in Nursing. I have been enrolled at Fort Hays State University, but looking at the University of Kansas in hopes of getting done sooner.

About Me

I started at PCC in 2006 as a adjunct clinical instructor. In 2007 I became full time Level I nursing faculty. I have been a nurse since 2004 and a PCC alum. I work at the hospital in Pratt for 3 years on the med/surg floors, ICU and ER.

Favorite Books

All I read right now are textbooks. I can't say that I have a favorite one of those. I did just finish the last Harry Potter book.

Activities

Currently my activities have been very work oriented. When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I am also working towards my Master's Degree in Nursing.

Interests

Reading, Hunting, Sewing (but I don't get to do a lot of this).

Favorite Music

Mostly country, but also enjoy rock.

Favorite Movies

I can't think of one specific movie that is my favorite, but I like any chic flick.

Best thing about working at PCC

The best thing about working at PCC for me is the friendly staff. I also like the small campus where you have a chance to get to know a lot of students, faculty and staff.

Advice for prospective students

My advice for prospective students is to communicate with instructors and various departments. Please keep us informed of changes and any problems you are experiencing. We are all willing to help, but we need to know that you need assistance.
