PCC hires Robinson to be WOO instructor

“Hunting has always been my passion,” said Rocky Robinson, new Wildlife Outfitting and Operations instructor at Pratt Community College. “I never thought I could make a career out of it.”

Pratt Community College is pleased to announce Robinson as the new instructor for the Wildlife Outfitting and Operations program. He began teaching students at the beginning of the Fall 2018 semester.  He brings valuable experience to the program after growing up with a love for the land and respect for wildlife, all of which he credits to his dad.

PCC shooting sports goes to national competition

March 28 through April 2, five students from the Pratt Community College Shooting Sports team traveled to the National Collegiate Clay Target Championship in San Antonio, Texas to compete against 76 teams from all over the nation. PCC Shooting Sports came home with a Division 4 third place win.
 

PCC acquires high-tech drones for WOO and EPT

Two programs at Pratt Community College are utilizing technology trends inside of the classroom. Wildlife Outfitting and Operations (WOO) and Electrical Power Technology (EPT) are using drones to train students new ways to incorporate technology into their two different industries.
 
PCC purchased four 4 DJI Inspire 1 drones to use between the two programs. Both are using technology in different ways than before.
 

Shooting team competes at Nationals

Six students from Pratt Community College traveled to the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio to compete in the 2016 ACUI Collegiate Clay Target Championships from March 29 through April 3.
