PCC started slow against Labette County on Friday, dropping the first set, but rallied back to win the match in four. Amber Culwell lead the team with 11 kills and 26 digs. Turner and Sanders each added eight kills and Cochran added seven.
On Sept. 8, Pratt Community College defeated Barton in their first home match of the season. The Beavers won the match in three sets going 25-18, 25-20 and 25- 15.
"The team had an overall balanced performance, which gave them their edge in the match," said Head Coach Kalie Mader.
Jessica Sanders led PCC with 10 kills, followed closely by seven from McKenzie Turner, six from Kelsey Hitch and six from Jocelyn Cochran.
Pratt Community College is proud to announce that 19 student-athletes have been named to the KJCCC All-Academic Team for the Fall 2013 semester. Each semester, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference recognizes the athletes who have earned a 3.50 GPA and above.
