What a tough match Monday night for Lady Beavers Volleyball. Overall they had a 3 out of 5 set loss to Hutch (20-25, 13-25, 25-21, 25-23, 11-15).

Volleyball defeats Colby in 3

In a nail biter match last night, Pratt Community College defeated Colby CC in three sets.

The first set ended with the Beavers winning 33-31 with eight different game point changes within that set. The second set the team was down 7-12, but forced a comeback after two timeouts, and won the set 26-24. The last set finished in Pratt's favor at 25-18.

Volleyball goes 3-1 on the weekend

The Pratt Community College volleyball team went 3-1 this weekend beating North Lake (25-11, 25-18, 25-19), Labette (25-11, 25-22, 25-11), and Clarendon (25-19, 25-20, 25-14) all in three game sweeps.

The Lady Beavers lost to Vernon College in three due to passing and defensive errors (11-25, 20-25, 15-25).

The team plays tonight at home vs. Colby at 6:30.

Volleyball defeats Butler in three

The Pratt Community College volleyball team won their match vs. Butler CC on Wednesday in a three game sweep (26-24, 25-16, 25-11). The team is now 1-0 in conference and on a three game winning streak, and looks to continue this as they head to Vernon, Texas on Aug. 29 to play four matches. Their next conference match will be at home on Monday, Aug. 31.

Volleyball goes 2-2 at Little Caesar Classic

The Pratt Community College women’s volleyball team went 2-2 at the Little Caesar Classic in Lamar, Colo. over the weekend. The Lady Beavers lost in five sets to Western Texas (25-23, 23-25, 25-17, 22-25, 13-15) and Otero (23-25, 25-14, 25-19, 17-25, 10-15), both very close matches.

Pratt swept McCook College (25-16, 25-15, 25-10) and Lamar CC (25-22, 25-14, 25-18) both in three sets. The women are now on a two game winning streak, and continue to improve as they look for their first conference win Tuesday night at Butler. Their first home game will be Aug. 31 vs. Colby.
