Volleyball Defeats Butler 3-1

On Sept. 3, Pratt Community College volleyball traveled to El Dorado, Kan. to face off against Butler Community College.

The team was unable to get any kind of offense or defense started in the first set and fell to Butler 25-11.

In the second set, the Lady Beavers were able to make the adjustments defensively to prevent Butler from hitting the .359 they did in the first set. PCC came out ahead 25-19.

The defense became stronger as the night went on and PCC defeated Butler in set three 25-17 and set four 25-14.

PCC Volleyball Splits Weekend at Seminole

Pratt Community College volleyball went to Seminole State College on Aug. 29 - 30 and came back with two wins and two losses.

On Friday, the Lady Beavers were able to sweep Clarendon College (25-20, 25-11 and 25-22). Defense lead the way for the PCC volleyball team in this match as well as their match against Seminole State, which they beat in four sets (20-25, 25-23, 25-19, 25-9) and accumulated 102 digs for the match.

PCC Volleyball Defeats Dodge City

Pratt Community College Lady Beaver Volleyball took on their first conference opponent at Dodge City, Aug, 27 at 6:30pm.

The team did not come out firing, dropping the first set 25-17. In the second set, PCC was able to serve their way to a hefty lead early in the match. The Beavers were able to keep that lead throughout the set winning 25-13.

Volleyball Begins Season 3-1, Cochran Named All-Tournament

Pratt Community College volleyball was able to come out of the opening weekend 3-1.

On Aug. 22 they beat Neosho in five (25-19, 17-25, 25-19, 22-25, 15-9) and lost to Fort Scott in four (21-25, 18-25, 25-23, 19-25).

On Aug. 23 they were able to down both Wentworth Academy (25-14, 26-18, 25-18) and East Central College (29-27, 25-18, 25-7) in three sets.
