Volleyball defeats Butler in three

The Pratt Community College volleyball team won their match vs. Butler CC on Wednesday in a three game sweep (26-24, 25-16, 25-11). The team is now 1-0 in conference and on a three game winning streak, and looks to continue this as they head to Vernon, Texas on Aug. 29 to play four matches. Their next conference match will be at home on Monday, Aug. 31.

Volleyball goes 2-2 at Little Caesar Classic

The Pratt Community College women’s volleyball team went 2-2 at the Little Caesar Classic in Lamar, Colo. over the weekend. The Lady Beavers lost in five sets to Western Texas (25-23, 23-25, 25-17, 22-25, 13-15) and Otero (23-25, 25-14, 25-19, 17-25, 10-15), both very close matches.

Pratt swept McCook College (25-16, 25-15, 25-10) and Lamar CC (25-22, 25-14, 25-18) both in three sets. The women are now on a two game winning streak, and continue to improve as they look for their first conference win Tuesday night at Butler. Their first home game will be Aug. 31 vs. Colby.

PCC Athletes Receive NJCAA Academic Honors

Seven Pratt Community College athletic programs have been named 2014-2015 NJCAA All-Academic Teams for their exemplary academic performance.  The minimum grade point average requirement for consideration is a team GPA of 3.00.
 

PCC Volleyball Announces 2015 Signees

Pratt Community College volleyball will be recovering from a large group of sophomores in 2015.

“I was truly lucky to have been blessed with such a great group of kids my first year at Pratt,” said Head Coach Kalie Mader. 

Pratt Volleyball will return just five players next fall including Amber Culwell, Marina Hansen, Kaleigh Soneson, Mariana Silva and McKenzie Turner. Pratt is proud to announce the signing of nine incoming freshman for the 2015 season.

Flemming Signs with Pratt Volleyball

Stonie Flemming of Pratt announced that she will be attending Pratt Community College in the fall of 2015 to continue her volleyball career. 
 
“I am excited to bring an athlete like Stonie Flemming into our program," said Head Coach Kalie Mader. "Stonie has impressed me with her willingness to learn and grow over the course of nine months, which is a rare quality in senior athletes. It will be a rewarding experience to see her continue that growth and see her competitive spirit attribute to her future teammates and our program.”
