PCC launches new app for student engagement and rewards

Students and Beaver fans now have an exclusive app that is designed to reward you back. The new application is called Go Beaver Nation and is supported by Pratt Community College Student Activities, Athletics and Marketing departments in efforts to engage students and community members at events and help them earn some prizes while they’re supporting PCC.

PCC Admissions opens Saturday tour option for Spring 2017

Join Pratt Community College for the best dam tour around. Beginning in January 2017 PCC Admissions will be holding guided tours of the college on select Saturdays every month through the semester.

On a visit to the PCC visitors will have an opportunity to explore campus on a guided tour with an Admissions representative to see classrooms, residence halls, athletic venues and learn about what PCC has to offer.

PCC Hosts Nursing Student Orientation

The Pratt Community College Nursing program will have 50 new nursing students in the ADN and PN programs this Fall.

The orientation is a mandatory event that all accepted nursing students are required to attend. It is held annually approximately six weeks prior to the start of fall classes.

The students selected for the Practical Nurse, and Associate Degree Nurse  programs on both the Pratt and Winfield campuses, Hybrid/Online ADN program were present on the PCC campus.  There were 46 students from all parts of Kansas plus students from Oklahoma and Colorado.

Student Admissions Representatives Accepting Applications

Pratt Community College is currently seeking students to serve as Student Admissions Representatives. This is the third year of the program, and spaces are now available for students who want to learn about public relations, event promotion, recruiting and mentoring. 

​PCC Students Make a Difference at Pratt Area Humane Society

As Pratt Community College students complete their final exams and prepare to return home for the summer, the Pratt Area Humane Society looks back at the impact their student volunteers have made on the organization throughout the year.
 
Susan Mayberry is a PCC employee and chair of the Rescue Committee for the Humane Society. She describes the many student groups that came to donate their time, and credits them with giving the animals much needed exercise and attention, including the cross country team members, who take the larger dogs for distance runs.
 

ESP Donates Scholarship Funds

The Educational Support Professionals (ESP) recently presented a $2,000 check to the Pratt Community College Foundation, which will go towards the ESP endowed scholarship.

ESP is comprised of 17 PCC staff members and strives to promote a positive working and learning environment by providing professional development, scholarship support, fellowship and assistance to students and fellow employees.
