PCC to Hold Blood Drive

15 January 2015

Pratt Community College will hold a blood drive on Feb. 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Note, this is a rescheduling from the earlier publicized date of Jan. 29 due to Red Cross mandated blood supply regulation).

A blood donor card or state-issued identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.

PCC To Hold Red Cross Blood Drive

05 September 2014

September is National Preparedness Month, and the American Red Cross asks eligible donors to help prepare for emergencies by giving blood.

“It’s important to have a stable blood supply at all times to help ensure we are prepared to meet patient needs in every emergency,” said Patricia Quinn, CEO of the Red Cross Central Plains Blood Services Region. “Blood can take up to three days to be tested, processed and made available for patients. It’s the blood on the shelves when disaster strikes that can save the day.”
