Performing arts presents the first annual Alumni Concert

Pratt Community College performing arts is bringing back more than 50 alumni to unite with current students for an end of the year concert.
 
The concert will be held Sunday Apr. 9 at 2:30 p.m. in Carpenter Auditorium. Admission is $5 for community, students and PCC staff and faculty.
 
Performing arts instructor and show director, Misty Beck, says there was an irresistible demand from alumni and the community to put on a show featuring students and community from years past.
 

PCC Performing Arts presents My Son Pinocchio

The Pratt Community College Performing Arts Department will be performing My Son Pinocchio for their spring show.

The show is a full scale Disney musical based on the movie “Gephetto”. The classic tale of toymaker, Geppetto's, little wooden puppet is given new life. This new musical, which retells the classic Disney story from Geppetto's perspective, features the beloved classic songs, "When You Wish upon a Star" and "I've Got No Strings," alongside a host of new songs by Oscar- and Grammy Award winner and master melodist, Stephen Schwartz who also composed the musical “Wicked”.

Encore! Performing Arts Valentines Day concert

To celebrate the weekend of love, come to the Valentine’s Day concert hosted Pratt Community College’s Encore! on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 2:30 p.m. in Carpenter Auditorium.

The show will feature love songs from a variety of genres featuring solos, duets and ensembles.

There will be a dessert bar at Intermission hosted by Collegiate Farm Bureau for a free will donation.

The concert is a fundraiser for the students’ trip to Tennessee in May so it does have a $5 suggested donation per person.

Pratt county schools come together for concert

The Pratt Community College Performing Arts Department will host the County Wide Choral Extravaganza on March 13 at 7:30 p.m. in Carpenter Auditorium.

The concert will showcase the musical talents of Pratt county students from PCC and Skyline High School. During the evening, the choirs will sing separately and together, with additional performances by their show choirs.

“It gives all the high school and college students in Pratt County a chance to sing together and create a sense of camaraderie,” said J.J. Rupe, PCC music instructor.

Valentine’s Day concert Sunday

To celebrate the weekend of love, come to the Valentine’s Day concert hosted Pratt Community College’s Encore! on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 2:30 p.m. in Carpenter Auditorium.

Encore! will be singing love songs from many different genres and music styles.

There will be cookies and punch at intermission.

The concert is a fundraiser for the students’ trip to Tennessee in May so it does have a $5 suggested donation.

“We hope everyone will come out and enjoy some great music and treats to finish up the Valentine’s weekend,” said Misty Beck, theatre instructor.
