Pratt Community College announces their hours for the Summer.

Summer hours begin Monday, May 21 and will extend through Friday, July 27. Operating business hours will be  7:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday.

PCC Rodeo Makes Strong Showing in Oklahoma

On Sept. 19, the Pratt Community College team traveled to Cherokee, Okla. for their first competition rodeo of the season.

"Our team had a strong showing on both the timed event and rough stock end of the arena, with two qualifiers advancing to the short round," said Head Coach Ryan Vander Pluym.

Sophomore Ryan Whetham placed in the average in the steer wrestling, while standout freshman Laramie Mosley clinched third overall in the bullriding.

Accident prone bull rider hopes to stay accident-free this season

Even knowing that he is accident prone, Brogan Naylor, Pratt Community College sophomore still says one of his favorite things to do is ride bulls and he has no intentions of quitting anytime soon.

Naylor, of Lucas, Kan., has had three surgeries due to bull riding and four due to accidents not related to bull riding.

His latest surgery happened last year after the Fort Scott Rodeo, when he got bucked off and the bull ran over him.

“I knew right away that something happened,” Naylor said. “It sounded like an elastic band popping and it hurt.”
