Baseball Wins One, Drops Two in Seminole

Last weekend the Pratt Community College baseball team traveled to Seminole, Okla. to face the historically tough Seminole State Community College. Going into the weekend, the Beavers were looking to bounce back after a tough weekend down in Northeast Texas.

The Beavers headed into the weekend with the game plan of relying on their strong pitching and timely offense. Head Coach Eric Thompson handed the ball to sophomore right handed pitcher Evan Payne. Payne went seven innings allowing no hits, striking out five and walking seven.

On Feb. 6, the Pratt Community College baseball team took on Northeast Texas Community College in Mount Pleasant, Texas in four games.

Pratt Baseball Signs Five

Pratt Community College Baseball enjoyed another day of success as five members of their 2015 recruiting class signed in the Pratt Community College Hall of Fame on Jan. 22, 2015. Jacob Compton, Tanner Kleinsasser, Turner Middendorf, Corey Steward, and Hayden Wheeler signed to wear Beaver Blue for the 2015 season.

“It’s a great day for us,” Head Coach Eric Thompson said. “We have the building blocks for our success and vision here today. Along with our other 2015 commits, we are putting together something special.”

Pratt Community College baseball would like to introduce its “Elite Eight”—Josh Jones (1B), Tanner Kliensasser (LHP), Corey Steward (OF/RHP), Nate McBroom (RHP), Jacob Compton (RHP), Hayden Wheeler (LHP), Jay Feathers (SS/RHP), and Reece Garvie (SS).

Beaver Baseball traveled to Dodge City to take on th Conquistadors in the final regular season series.

The Beavers fell in game one 11-1.
Won game two 9-1.
Loss game three 9-3.
Loss game four 13-1.

The Beavers were out hit 22-4 in game four.
After this weekend, the Beavers overall record is 21-30 and 14-18 in conference.

The Beavers head into the playoffs as the 7th seed looking to face Johnson County Community College in a best of 3 series.
