PCC opens South-Central Career Pathways Center to benefit area high schools

Enrollment is now open for students interested in taking automotive classes in the new South-Central Career Pathways Center (SCCPC) loacted in Attica, Kan.
The SCCPC facility stemmed from a need for an automotive shop for high school students to utilize in the South-Central Kansas area. The shop saves students time and resources by having a facility in their area.

Auto grads spend summer working in Yellowstone

Pratt Community College automotive graduates are spending the summer working at Yellowstone National Park. Former students Arik Schmidt, Logan Mason and Cole Quaney graduated from the Automotive Technology program in May this year all with a job offer to begin May 17 for the Yellowstone park service stations (YPSS).

PCC Auto Department to Hold Car Show

On February 23, the Pratt Community College Automotive Department will host their annual Car Show. An assortment of cars of all different makes and models will be on display in the automotive shop from 8 a.m. – noon, and there is no charge for admission. The cars are loaned for the event by community members who have ties to the department.

Students and community members are able to vote on which of the vehicles is their favorite and People’s Choice awards will be given out at the close of the event.
