PCC Initiates Gaming Club

22 January 2014

Video game enthusiasts at Pratt Community College now have a new campus organization. The PCC Gaming Club will hold its first official meeting on Jan. 28 and everyone is welcome to join.

“The club is back after a long hiatus,” says club sponsor Casey Backman. “This is a great way to foster friendships and build community among people with similar interests.”

The club will meet twice a week. Console gaming will be held in the Rec Center each Tuesday from 6 – 10 p.m., and PC gaming will be held in the Computer Center Lab each Friday from 6 – 10 p.m., in the lower level of the main building. The choice of games played will be flexible and up for a vote each night by club members. The cost of joining the club is $20 per semester, and new members can come and play for the first week without paying the membership dues. Players should bring their own controllers, and consoles on Tuesday evenings.
