PCC rodeo head coach qualifies for nationals
Rocky Patterson, current Head Coach for Pratt Community College’s Rodeo Team, finds himself in first place standing in Steer Roping for the 2015-2016 season. Patterson, who has qualified for 2016 Nationals, will be one of the 15 steer ropers invited to compete in Mulvane, Kan. in November for the Title.
Patterson, raised on a farm between Anthony and Kiowa, Kan., rodeoed at Allen Community College and Oklahoma Panhandle State University. He was the 1992 PRCA Rookie of the Year, and a 19 time Qualifier to the National Finals Steer Roping (NFSR). Patterson holds three World Champion Titles, most recently in 2012.
Patterson has coached the PCC Rodeo since spring of 2015. The team will begin their 2016 season at Colby Community College on Sept. 16 with a roster of more than 30 athletes. Visit the PCC Robdeo webpage for more information about Patterson and the Rodeo team.
