Thank-you for you interest in the Pratt Community College LPN-RN online program! PCC is proud that we are the first and only LPN-RN state-wide option in Kansas! Successful completion of this program will allow you to take the NCLEX-RN and to apply for RN licensure in Kansas; there is not currently an online program in the United States that is approved by the KSBN. The PCC Nursing Program has a long-standing tradition of producing high-quality nurses prepared to enter the workforce. Employers consistently rate PCC nursing graduates above average to excellent. Although the format may differ somewhat, the same quality-proven curriculum will be delivered online. Prior to entering the first course (NUR 103), you will be required to take NUR 102b, Nursing Transition course. This course will assist you as you transition from the LPN to RN role and includes both online and on-campus instruction. In addition, you will be given a series of questions to ascertain if online learning is for you. If you have questions or concerns specific to online learning, I encourage you to visit with our nursing online coordinator, Barbara Hardinger, at 620-450-2274 or barbaraha@prattcc.edu. Again, I appreciate your interest in the Pratt Community College LPN-RN online program. I welcome any questions or comments you may have about this program or any of our online or on-campus programs. Best wishes for continued success in the advancement of your nursing career! Sincerely, |
