The Pratt American

Newspaper offers full scholarships to non-majors

Are you in need of FREE money to help pay for your education? The Pratt American newspaper at Pratt Community College may be your solution.

At Pratt Community College the newspaper staff is not made up of Journalism majors, but instead any student interested in being involved on campus and interested in writing, designing, editing or selling advertisement for the newspaper.

Our staff currently consists of Math majors, Biology majors, Art majors, English majors, etc.

The staff is fairly small, ranging in size from 12-20 students, depending on the semester.
Students receive one-on-one interaction and attention from myself (the adviser) as well as from other students on the staff.

Again I can’t stress enough that this course is NOT a course designed for Journalism majors but instead is an activity course for students wanting to be involved with an interest in newspaper writing, designing, editing or advertising sales.

I hope you decide to visit with me about this great opportunity. You can contact me directly at 620-450-2146 or call the Pratt Community College Admissions office at 620-450-2000 to schedule a campus visit.

Please make sure that you tell the admissions representative that you are interested in being a part of The Pratt American newspaper staff.

I look forward to hearing from you and discussing this opportunity!
