The PCC Women's Basketball Team moved into a tie for sixth in the Jayhawk West with a big win over Dodge City on Wednesday night. The 71-57 victory was the second in a row for the Beavers after they knocked off #23 Hutchinson last Saturday.
Pratt built a 26-4 first half lead before allowing Dodge to get within 10 late in the game. That was as close as Dodge ever got, when Dodge hit a three with a minute to play to make it 67-57. However, the Beavers controlled the ball and the game the rest of the way to end it 71-57.
Pratt was led by Ashley Scroggins who had 14 points and 9 rebounds. Wyniesha Webb had 12, and Sasha Crosby added 10.
Pratt shot 40 percent for the game to Dodge's 37 percent. Both teams shot 20 percent from beyond the arc. Pratt hit 79 percent from the line, while Dodge shot 67 percent. The Beavers outrebounded the Conqs 40 to 36. Pratt forced 28 turnovers from Dodge, while giving back 18. The Beavers collected 27 points off of turnovers.
