Community on Campus Focuses on Beginning Computer Users

Pratt Community College is please to announce a new Community on Campus initiative. Computers for beginners – a seminar – will be offered February 18 & 20 from noon-2p.m. each day. The course will focus on basic operation of PCs, basics of using windows, basics of email, considerations when purchasing a computer and time for questions and answers.

The course will be aimed at those with very limited knowledge of computers including those who may not yet have a computer, but have the desire to become more technology savvy.

The course will be taught by Carol Ricke and Lisa Kolm. Assistance and one on one mentoring will be available and provided by students in the Micro Office Apps II class. The course will be taught in the main building at PCC in computer labs 32/34. The course is provided free of charge to the community.
