The PCC Track and Field Team traveled to Crete, Nebraska, to compete in the Scott Nisely Memorial Classic on the campus of Doane College last Saturday. The Nisely meet marked continued improvement in the high jump and the 4x800 relay.
Among the best races of the day was the finish of the PCC 4x800m relay team. Logan Keiswetter, Coe Hawkins, Chris Dunagan, and Chayne Baxley battled their way to a second place finish. Also showing improvement in the High Jump after battling through some sickness the past couple weeks was Cole Davis.
"Every week we talk about the value of hard work, and we’re clearly seeing the results of our efforts,” said Head Coach Cyrus Hall. “We made tremendous strides this week in several areas. I thought our 4x800m relay team competed with incredible intelligence and toughness. It's tough for freshmen and sophomores to run with intelligence, but they did it. And they'll take some confidence from this race."
The PCC Beavers are off this weekend before heading back to Kearney, Nebraska on Friday February 15th for the UNK Open.
