The Pratt Community College Rodeo Team had its best outing of the year last weekend at the Southwest Oklahoma State Rodeo. Trista Ardery (SO, Greensburg) picked up a new saddle when she won the cowgirl's All-Around title.

Ardery's win was the highlight of an impressive PCC showing. She took first in the goat roping long go, and third in the average. With her points for ninth in barrel racing, she had enough points to claim the All-Around. Amy Prather (SO, Goddard) also placed with a third in the long go of barrel racing.

On the men's side, Chancy Boeser (SO, Stapleton, NE) placed third out of 52 in the long go of steer wrestling. He tied for second in the short go, and place third in the average. Will Tetrick (FR, Kingman) finished fourth in the long go, and Jake Ritz (SO, Kent City, MI) tied for fifth in the long go. And out of 79 team ropers, brothers Tyler and Nick Ricke (Attica, KS) placed third in the long go.

"This (rodeo) set a record for the number of Pratt team members making it to the short go," said Head Coach Doug Janke. "This was a great weekend for us, especially considering the winter-like weather."

Pratt next travels to Fort Hays State on April 21-23.
