Former Pratt Community College outfielder Jeremy Brown has been moved up to the Los Angeles Dodgers AAA farm team, the Las Vegas 51’s. Brown, a 2004-05 standout for the PCC Beavers, was playing for the Dodgers in the Gulf Coast League since being tabbed a 10th round draft pick in 2005 by the local Dodger area scout Mitch Webster of Larned.
Brown was hitting .248 in 29 games for the Dodger’s Gulf Coast League team, and in the last week he hit .417 with four home runs, which figured prominently in the somewhat unprecedented jump from the rookie league to AAA.
