Outdoor Track Season Opens with Two Qualifiers

By:Patrick Hall Monday, 19 March, 2007

The PCC Track Team opened their outdoor track season on Thursday at Southwestern College in less than ideal weather, but a couple of sprinters used a little push from Mother Nature to qualify for Nationals.

While the wind and cold were not ideal for everyone, Pratt’s Greg Franklin and Curtis King both used the 30 mph wind to help them post times of 10.47 and 10.52 in the 100m dash, qualifying both sprinters for Nationals. The remainder of the meet was uneventful for Pratt.

The next outdoor track meet will be at Cowley County on March 31st.
