By:Patrick Hall Friday, 29 September, 2006 Yes, it's rodeo time once again. The annual Pratt Community College NIRA Rodeo is October 6, 7 and 8. Nearly 500 competitors from two and four year schools in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri will compete in a variety of events. The college rodeo is the kickoff for fall in Pratt and offers entertainment for all ages. The performances will take place Friday, Oct. 6 at 7:30p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7 at 1:30p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and the short-go or finals round will take place at 1:30p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8. In addition, the Kids' Rodeo will be in the Ag Activities Center at 6:30p.m. on Saturday evening. Little cowboys and cowgirls will get a chance to rope a roping dummy, tie a goat's tail, ride a horse and get prizes from the roll in the hay. Events for the rodeo include: Barrel Racing, Goat Tying, Break Away Roping, Team Roping, Tie Down Roping, Steer Wrestling, Bull Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, and Bareback Riding.
