A glimpse of beauty is one of the best ways to describe the Art exhibit currently on display in the Delmar Riney Art Gallery at Pratt Community College. The exhibit of photography by Jim Glynn of Great Bend went on display, October 15 and will run through November 9.
Glynn has been an avid photographer since 1988 when he and several other local Great Bend photographers formed the “Great Plains Image Makers” photography club. His photos encompass many different subjects, including country scenes, windmills, the Grand Canyon, and the Rocky Mountains while his real talents can be seen in his wildlife photography work. Glynn’s work has been published in a variety of recent publications including “Texas Sporting Journal”, the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce visitor guides, The Great Bend Tribune and “Photographer’s Forum.” He was the 2006 grand prize winner of The Wichita Eagle’s annual “Great Outdoors” photography contest and was a runner up in the 2007 competition. Glynn is a current member of the Central Kansas Photography Club in Great Bend and more of his photography can be viewed at www.ckspc.org. All of the photos in the Pratt Community College exhibit are for sale and are matted and framed. The Delmar Riney Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8a.m.-5p.m. and for special college events.
