Peter Pan, Jr. to be performed by campers
Pratt Community College has been transformed into Neverland during the weeks of June 9 and 16, with 111 campers on campus for the annual Performing Arts camp.
During the two week day camp, students prepare to perform Disney’s “Peter Pan, Jr.” on June 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Carpenter Auditorium.
The children are between the ages of five and 12 and all children have a part in the play.
“I am having fun,” said Kyanna Davidson, 9 year-old of Pratt. “My favorite part is when we sing.”
Davidson is a pirate in the play and said her favorite song is ‘Walk the Plank.’
When they aren’t practicing, students are participating in arts and crafts projects and playing games. The camp is facilitated by PCC Performing Arts Instructor Misty Beck with the help of parents and community volunteers.
